That being said, the series seems to be Hollywood's answer to Donald Trump. With Kiefer Sutherland Natascha McElhone Adan Canto Ita… Designated Survivor starts with a bang (literally) and never stops! I'm definitely going to be watching season 2. It is one action packed situation to another.

September 21, 2016. The Sutherland of 24 rears his head periodically, and breaks the image of the talentless politician that no one wants - if he's that good, why was he to be ousted from the President's team prior to the disaster? Shame on you Jack Bauer. The series is realistic and optimistic. If you want to purchase the liberal bias... by all means. Highly recommended. Well cast & great acting and hard to stop watching for much needed sleep. But the whole time watching I'm thinking of him as President Jack and what would all the naysayers think if they knew his background. Please try againSorry, we failed to record your vote.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first season and can't wait to see the next. That of trying to put the government back together, and get things done among the political games, infighting, backroom deals etc, and that of the investigation to uncover who was behind the attack (which is centered around Maggie Q's character, FBI agent Hanna Wells). Gotta love Keifer Sutherland though he is so good in these parts.

The show is fascinating because of actual world events today. WELL WORTH THE MONEY! (Btw, our country really does designate a 'survivor' just as they do in this series! The first season really runs two stories that stay mostly parallel throughout the season, but intersect at certain points. Haven't been disappointed loved it.

Not near West Wing standards but if you like Madam Secretarythen this should suit you.

It is always a pleasure to see Kiefer Sutherland. What hope for him as Commander-in-Chief? Please try againSorry, we failed to record your vote. Good plot and very enjoyable as well as gaining your interest so we watch 4 -5 episodes at a time.
